STANDISH — The Standish City council accepted City Ordinance No. 246, on Thursday June 17, 2010. The ordinance allows the city to put a six-month moratorium on the issuance of medical marijauna sales permits and dispensaries of the drug within the city. The City Council was also set to vote on a city wide recycling program, but ended up tabling it until the next meeting so it could be discussed more.
