Share your Michigan adventure with us The weather is getting hotter, and the sun is out more often than not. In the state of Michigan, this means that it’s time for that big family trip, to make those memories that you will never forget. Whether it’s a trip with the family, or just a trip with best friends, more than likely there will be fun times to be had. We here at the Arenac Independent want to hear about everyone’s own Michigan adventure. The state of Michigan has plenty of vacation destinations within just a few hours’ drive. Whether it’s that summer fishing trip to the Upper Peninsula, a weekend on the lake, or camping in one of the state’s many unique campgrounds, we would like to hear our readers’ stories. Why? Because in the next couple of weeks, the Arenac Independent will be starting the “Our Story” picture section, in which we will post pictures from our readers’ recent trips. From the Keewanee Peninsula, to wooded lands of Northen Michigan and the bustling cities of the mitten, there is a lot to do and a lot to see for tourists of all kinds, and we want to do our part to promote our state. From one-day short trips to weeklong vacations, there are a lot of memories to be shared. Take a little time to share your story with us. If you would like to share your story, e-mail your photo along with a description of when, and why the trip was taken to news@arenacindependent.com with “Our Story” in the subject line. All e-mails should include captions for the photos that describe the location, time, and full names of those who are in the photo. Readers may also mail their stories and pictures to “Our Story” Arenac County Independent 1010 W. Cedar St. P.O. Box 699 Standish, MI 48658 Pictures that are mailed may be picked up at the office after they have run in the paper.
