Frozen temps couple with hot racing at Battle on the Bay

STANDISH TWP. — Racers from across the U.S. and Canada gathered at White’s Beach in Standish Township for the Battle on the Bay snowmobile race Feb. 9-10, with thousands of dollars in prize money. The weather cooperated, with plenty of ice and snow with clear visibility.

Au GRES — The Arenac Community Fund held its annual fundraising auction Dec. 6 at Dunleavy’s Eatery & Pub, auctioning off a wide variety of items and giving out grants to several local groups.
