Jessie joined the editorial team in 2011. She graduated from Pinconning Area High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in English at Northern Michigan University. 

She has a twin brother and two 50-pound lapdogs, and loves to read – which is good, considering that's what she does all day.

A high school and college trumpet player, she is a fan of instrumental music and has a music library full of movie scores, and also enjoys classic and indie rock. She spends her free time with her nose buried in the latest science fiction/fantasy novel, and her dogs complain that she never pets them nor gives them any treats.

Jessie enjoys exploring the great outdoors in the Prescott area. She started deer hunting with her grandfather after taking an archery class in college, and is now an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman.
