ARENAC COUNTY -- The Arenac Eastern and Standish-Sterling school boards approved an agreement Jan. 14 to allow SSC Superintendent Darren Kroczaleski to serve as AE's superintendent on an interim basis, contingent on a contract being approved by AE's finance committee and the SSC board during a special meeting.
Under the tentative agreement, Kroczaleski would work at AE an average of one day a week through June. The cost to AE is estimated to be about $15,000, less than the board had initially budgeted for it.
The school district's previous interim superintendent, Brenda Wilson, was only contracted to serve through the end of December, and was limited due to her retirement.
