AGS cuts seven jobs

AuGres- Seven total AuGres-Sims School District positions were cut Monday night at the districts monthly school board meeting.

Facing uncertain funding issues from the State of Michigan, the school board accepted district Superintendent Anne Doriean’s recommendation to cut up to three staff members and four support staff positions, based on the districts predicted short fall of $350,000 for the 2010-2011 budget, which starts on July 1st.
