Alger Parks and Rec hosting Christmas party Saturday

Posted

FOREST LAKE — Children will be able to make a Christmas craft and visit with Santa during Alger Parks and Rec’s annual Christmas party at the Forest Lake Clubhouse Saturday, Dec. 10.

Parks and Rec Chairwoman Marion Chard said the event is scheduled to run from 2-3:30 p.m. Chard said in one room children will be able to work on holiday crafts, while in the other room they will be able to visit with Santa.

“Santa’s going to be reading a Christmas story for the kids, and then he’s going to be listening to Christmas wishes,” she said. “We’re going to be handing out Christmas stockings this year with all sorts of goodies in them.”

Pop, water and cookies will be available as well, Chard said. Bikers 4 Kids is co-sponsoring the event with Alger Parks and Rec. Chard said the Forest Lake Property Owners Association also donated use of the clubhouse for free.

The clubhouse is located at 6180 Bobcat Trail in Alger.
