Many people from the county and the region gathered at Standish-Sterling Central High School July 12-13 for Arenac County Relay For Life’s 24-hour event to fight cancer. Events at The Relay included The Survivors Lap, The Caregivers Lap, a duct tape fashion show and luminaria ceremony. Several teams participated, looking to raise money for the American Cancer Society and raise awareness locally about cancer and the effect it has on patients and their families.
