Arenac board approves language for E-911 millage proposal
Posted 4/20/10
ARENAC COUNTY — During the Aug. 3 primary election, county voters will decide whether or not to approve a millage renewal geared toward funding the county's E-911 Central Dispatch Center.
The Arenac County Board of Commissioners approved the language for the millage renewal at its April 20 meeting. The renewal calls for a levy of .80 mils, or 80 cents per $1,000 taxable value of an individual property, for the years 2011 through 2019. If approved, the millage would raise an estimated $427,000 in 2011.
