Arenac board tabs Sheeder as public guardian

ARENAC COUNTY — Vickie Sheeder, who has been working as the Arenac County Public Guardian on a temporary basis, can now remove the word "temporary" from her job description.

The Arenac County Board of Commissioners, at its March 2 regular meeting, hired Sheeder from among 14 applicants for the position. Clerk Ricky Rockwell said Sheeder also served as the county's public guardian in the mid-to-late 1990s, and more recently had served temporarily in that position since November.
