The Au Gres Knights of Columbus held its local free-throw shooting competition Jan. 25 at Au Gres-Sims. Children 9-14 years old participated in the contest, which was broken up into age categories for girls and boys. Each contestant got to shoot 15 free throws, and the winners in each division qualified for a chance to compete in the district contest, which is scheduled for Feb. 8 at Standish-Sterling Middle School. The district contest is slated to begin at 2 p.m
