Au GRES — The Au Gres VFW, in association with other local veteran groups, held its annual Memorial Day parade Sunday, May 27.

The veterans made their way down US-23 from North Main Street to the Au Gres-Sims School, where a short ceremony was held featuring a memorial presentation, local speakers, and a rifle ceremony.

The VFW followed the ceremony with an open house at its Au Gres post.

Earlier in the morning, VFW members visited cemeteries in Au Gres, Sims Township, Omer, and Mason Township to honor veterans who have passed away.
