AuGres clinches playoff spot
KINDE - Oct. 24, 2008 - Needing a win to clinch a playoff berth, AuGres-Sims took the suspense out of their post-season hopes in a hurry by jumping on Kinde North Huron right away and coasting to a 49-7 victory.

"They were missing some key players with injuries, too, which didn't help them. But we also played very well."
Alex Lutz threw touchdown passes of eight yards to Chad Taylor and 15 yards to Kyle Gingerich in the first quarter and added a 37-yard scoring strike to 'Gingerich in the second quarter. Zach Dieleman's 4-yard run gave AGS a 29-7 halftime lead.
Lutz scored on a 1-yard run on the first drive of the third quarter before coming out to give sophomore Travis Byard some snaps under center. Byard responded with a 23-yard touchdown run of his own, and Dieleman finished things off with a 59-yard touchdown run.
