Bay City woman killed in Pinconning Twp. crash
PINCONNING TWP — A Bay City woman died as the result of a three car crash in Pinconning Township.
Angela Ice, 23, was driving north on M-13, near Newman Road, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, when she lost control of her 2000 Oldsmobile, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police, Bay City Post. Ice was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered from the crash.
Two other vehicles were involved in the accident, a 2007 Jeep and a 2011 Buick, police said.
According to police, Ice’s car traveled into the southbound lane where it collided with the other two vehicles.
A passenger of the Jeep, a 47-year-old Akron man suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Bay Regional Medical Center before being transferred to Hurley Medical Center in Flint, police said. Three other people involved in the crash were uninjured.
According to the press release, all occupants in the Jeep were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The southbound lanes and one northbound lane of M-13 were closed for more than two hours while police investigated the crash.
State Police troopers were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police 3rd District Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team, the Pinconning Police Department, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, the Pinconning-Fraser Fire Department, Northern Bay Ambulance, and Bay Regional Hospital Ambulance.
