Bazaar raising funds for PTO at Au Gres-Sims
Au GRES — The multipurpose room at Au Gres-Sims will be bustling with shoppers and vendors Dec. 10, as the AGS parent-teacher organization is hosting its second annual fundraising bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
PTO member Susan Bublitz said at last year’s inaugural bazaar, there were approximately 40 vendors and nearly 300 shoppers.
“We had about 280 shoppers that came in the door,” she said. “It was pretty big, so I’m hoping we’ll have just as many if not more this year.”
Vendor fees from the event help the PTO support many AGS programs and events, Bublitz said.
“We provide money for field trips, spectator buses, playground equipment, college scholarships and any special equipment over and above the school’s budget,” she said.
Patrons will be able to browse vendor booths selling direct sales products such as Younique, Rada Cutlery, Avon, Scentsy, Paparazzi, as well as homemade crafts and baked goods. Bublitz said concessions will also be available during the bazaar.
Bublitz said any volunteer assistance with setup, concessions and cleanup would be appreciated.
“We do need volunteers,” she said. “We have some kids from the National Honor Society that are volunteering, but we did need volunteers if anybody would like to help out.”
