Board reappoints Daniels, Branda; votes to keep same meeting days


ARENAC COUNTY — The year 2010 is identical to 2009 in terms of whose serving on the Arenac County Board of Commissioners as chairman and vice-chairman.

Commissioner Raymond Daniels was reappointed unanimously to the position of chairman by the board during a restructuring meeting on Jan. 6. Commissioner Ronald Branda was unanimously reappointed to vice-chair at the same meeting.

The board also moved to keep its meeting dates on the first and third Tuesday of every month, with the only change being that the morning committee of a whole meeting held every first and third Tuesday will now start at 9 a.m. rather than 8:30 a.m. Regular board meetings will continue to he held at 1:30 p.m.

A motion to accept the meeting days and times was passed 4-1 with Commissioner Joseph Sancimino dissenting. He said he would like to have a meeting held in the evening at least once quarterly.
