Boys Soccer: Grayling ruins Panthers home-opener


STANDISH -- Standish-Sterling Central fell short of celebrating its home-opener as the Panthers dropped a 5-3 decision to Grayling in boys soccer action Thursday, Aug. 28.

The host Panthers seized a 2-0 lead just eight minutes into the contest on goals by Dylan Williams and Tanner Trombley.

Grayling came back to tie the score, then the two teams exchanged single goals to make it 3-3 at halftime. Williams accounted for the Panthers third goal.

Grayling went on to score two unaswered goals in the second half to claim the victory.

The Panthers had their record evened at 1-1 after the loss.
