DNR upgrading license sales system

System will be offline June 20, 7-10 a.m.

LANSING — Those looking to purchase licenses from the Department of Natural Resources Thursday morning won’t be able to before 10 a.m., because the system is being upgraded.

According to a press release from the DNR, the system will be shut down June 20 from 7-10 a.m. for upgrades. The system outage will affect both the online system and license sales in stores.

“The upgrade is one of a series of improvements aimed at streamlining the license-buying process,” Denise Gruben said in the release.

Gruben oversees the license sales system for the DNR.

“We’ve taken suggestions from those who sell licenses at stores across the state, and implemented these upgrades to help create a better experience for both the sales agents and the customers,” she said.

Changes include notifications and prevention of duplicate item purchases, among other things, the release states.

The system is used by the DNR to sell hunting, fishing, ORV, snowmobile and other licenses and permits. It can be found online at www.mdnr-elicense.com.
