Driver in motorcycle accident suffers no major injuries

This motorcycle accident was reported at approximately 11 a.m. on July 17 in Standish.

STANDISH — Dale Raymond Pokorny, Redford Township, suffered only minor pain after, according to Arenac County Undersheriff Don McIntyre, the Harley-Davidson he was riding had a malfunction, causing Pokorny to lose control of the bike on Friday, and crash on the East side of the roadway.

Responders at the scene included the Arenac County Sheriff’s Office, the Saginaw-Chippewa Indian Tribal Police, Arenac County Mobile Medical Response (MMR) and the Standish Area Fire Authority.

The accident was reported at approximately 11 a.m. McIntyre says Pokorny was traveling northbound on US-23 in Standish when the incident occurred.
