ARENAC TWP. — Firefighters with the Omer-Arenac Fire Department and the Standish Area Fire Authority responded to a fire on the 900 block of West Conrad Road in Arenac Township Sept. 13.

The fire was described as a grass and tire fire by dispatchers, who paged the firefighters a little before 4 p.m.

As of 4:40 p.m., the fire did not appear to have spread to a nearby house, or any other structures.
