PINCONNING — Katie Tobin and Emily Kraska each recorded hat tricks as John Glenn trounced Pinconning 10-0 in both teams' North East Michigan Conference girls’ soccer opener.

The game ended after 40 minutes due to the eight-goal mercy rule, which takes effect in the second half.

Rachel Seifferly, Larissa Petroff, Holly Duncan and Stephanie Labelle each added goals. Tobin and Labelle each had a pair of assists and Seifferly added one.

Kelli Johnson got credit for the shutout, though she wasn't required to make a save.

Glenn improved to 2-2 (1-0 NEMC) while Pinny is 0-1 (0-1).
