Here's what we're reading today: NHL lockout ends, trial will begin soon for Aurora, Colorado theater gunman, BCS National Championship game may break ratings records

Here's some stories we're reading today:

- The NHL lockout is over, but some have doubts if the fans will come back. An NBC sports poll with 50,000 responses showed 54-percent of fans said they would watch again, but 30-percent of the participants said "No" or "Wait and see."

- Prosecutors are ready to attempt to bring witnesses and evidence against James Holmes, 25, who is charged with killing 12 people at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. It is believed defense attorneys will provide a "diminished capacity" defense.

- With two traditional powerhouse programs in the BCS National Championship, it is believed this year's game could set ratings records. Notre Dame and Alabama are set to kickoff tonight at 8:30 p.m.
