Just looking for company

AuGRES — For little over a year now, elderly local singles have met at the Town and Country Lounge Restaurant in AuGres for conversational dinners and other group-friendly activities such as tubing and house parties. According to group spokesperson Sandy Ayers, the group started about three years ago when she and a friend had grown bored sitting around the house with their pets and decided they needed some human interaction. So, what better way than to meet, once a week, with locals just like them? “It’s just a group of friendly and easy-going people getting out of the house for something different,” Ayers said.
