LINCOLN TWP. — Two single-vehicle rollover accidents that occurred in the same vicinity within 20 minutes of each other Jan. 6 resulted in minor injuries, according to Arenac County Undersheriff Don McIntyre.

McIntyre said the first rollover accident was on southbound I-75 at approximately 10:45 a.m. about one mile north of the M-61 overpass when a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville left the roadway and rolled over. The car was driven by Matthew Bayne, 45, of Bentley.

Less than 20 minutes later, at 11:03 a.m., McIntyre said a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Nicholas Dimmer, 26, of White Lake, also left the roadway and rolled over nearby.

Both drivers were transported to St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital with minor injuries. No citations were issued.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted on the scene by the Standish Area Fire Authority and MMR.
