OHHS sweeps W-P
OGEMAW HEIGHTS - Sep. 17, 2008 - Ogemaw Heights held off Whittemore-Prescott 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 in an NEMC contest that was a little closer than a three-game sweep would usually indicate.
"I feel the team is improving its overall play," said W-P coach Helen Loomis. "Our hitting is getting more powerful with fewer errors and our defensive play has improved.
"I feel this match could have gone either way; we just had a few errors at critical times."
Ogemaw (10-4-4, 3-1 NEMC) set up its match next week with the league's last unbeaten team in John Glenn with the win.
"We played decent tonight but still struggled moving our feet and getting to the ball," said Ogemaw coach Diane Gillette. "Our serving game was great. We need to work hard at practice this week and step it up for when we face John Glenn."
