PHS's Emily Podgorniak 10th at Frankenmuth Inv.


FRANKENMUTH — Pinconning High School's Emily Podgorniak legged-out a 10th-place finish at the Frankenmuth Cross Country Invitational Thursday, Sept. 24.

Podgorniak not only won a medal for her finish, but also ran a personal-best time, covering the coure in 21 minutes, 40 seconds.

Teammate Jessica Vidalez medaled also, placing 16th in 22:23, while Shannon McDougall finished 35th in 23:42.

In the boys race, Pinconning's Ben Hemstreet recorded a personal-best time of 19:15 and placed 35th. Spartans Myles Grusnick and Michael Lapan also registered personal-best times, with Grusnick finishing in 24:37, while Lapan crossed the line in 30:03.
