STANDISH-STERLING — The Whittemore-Prescott (W-P) Lady Cards traveled to Standish-Sterling (SSC) Wednesday night for a conference match-up. W-P played tough on SSC’s home court but eventually lost in three straight games. The Lady Cards took some positives in the loss as they closely battled the Panthers in two of the three games. “I was quite pleased with our play in games one and three,” W-P coach Helen Loomis said. “Serving and hitting errors were at a minimum and our blocking improved.” Coach Loomis admitted that game two was a total team disaster in which the team has chosen to leave behind. She also credited SSC doing a good job finding holes in the defense with “strategic tips.” Stats for the Cards included Courtney Bork with fifteen points and six digs; Chelsea Jasman with four points, one ace, four block-kills, ten digs and five spike-kills; Chloe Moraitis with four points, one ace, five digs and five spike-kills; Larissa McGeathy with four points and two block-kills; Kayla Camp with seventeen assists; and Leighanna Loomis with seven digs and 4 spike-kills.
