Podgorniak runs at state meet


BROOKLYN – There were 240 runners in the race and Pinconning’s Emily Podgorniak finished ahead of a lot of them, placing 119th in the Division 3 girls’ cross-country state finals Saturday, Nov. 7 at Michigan International speedway.

Podgorniak finished the race in 21:31.0. Allendale’s Devan John won the state title, crossing the line first in 18:30.6.

Hanover-Horton won the team title with 63 points. Pinconning didn’t qualify for the team state finals.
