Power outage in Omer, Twining area

Updated April 30, 12:51 p.m. ARENAC COUNTY — A power outage was reported the morning of April 30 in Arenac County between Omer Turner and Twining.
Consumers Energy reports that 746 customers are affected by the outage, which is still under investigation. Consumers spokeswoman Deb Dodd said they hope to have power restored shortly, but do not have a timetable yet.
“I believe there are storms that moved through the area,” Dodd said. “We have a fair number of outages in the Northern Michigan area.”
Smaller outages have been reported around Standish, Deep River Township, Standish Township, and Arenac Township. Restoration times on those outages are expected to be completed between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
