Prescott man charged in fatal car accident

MILLS TWP. — A Prescott man was charged with two felony counts on Monday following a fatal car accident that occurred in Mills Township on Halloween night.

Phillip Cary Strong, 41, of Prescott was charged Nov. 3 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death, according to Ogemaw County Prosecutor LaDonna Schultz. Both are 15-year felonies.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Bobbi Jo Tabor of Twining. Schultz said she was dead at the scene.
