The OHHS girls faught hard during the Regoinal meet Friday evening rain and all. We have Lauren Steinhurst to represent our team in the shot put and discuss, Kalena Franklin to represent our team in the 100-meter hurdles, the relay team of Keely Wyatt, Kristeen Soper, Kalena Franklin and Kristian Franklin to represent us in the 4x200-meter and the 4x100-meter relays in the State meet on June 5th in Zeeland. It also needs to be known that each one of the four girls (Wyatt, Soper, Franklin and Franklin) participated in the maximum four events each and all four girls brought home medals from each event they participated in, that's 16 medal's out of a team total of 24 (if my calculation is correct). The 4x800-meter relay team (Wyatt, Laken Morrison, Rylee Nowak and Adrian Steinhurst) beat their season best time by ruffly 21 seconds showing their determination to do their best. As a proud parent I have to send my congratulations out to all the girls that participated in the Regional meet for giving it their all!!!! Wishing them the best of luck in the State finals!
