STANDISH — The 2010 Senior Olympics kicked off today at St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital. Seniors from the long term care facility at the Hospital and MediLodge of Sterling, along with seniors from the local community, competed in many different sporting events. John Hoppe, 88, was crowned king of event, while 96-year-old Bea Demo was named queen of the day.
