DEEP RIVER TWP. — The Sterling Area Health Center’s annual health fair took place Aug. 15 at the Deep River Township Park.

Multiple organizations had booths set up to showcase the services offered in the community and to provide information about topics such as diet and dental care. Sterling Area Health Center CEO Roger Rushlow said the event is put on to thank their patients, the community, and the staff that keeps the center running.

Rushlow added that the health center was able to hire a “certified enrollment specialist” this year under the Affordable Care Act, who will hold the full-time job of answering questions and helping people get enrolled in the ACA’s insurance marketplace or Medicaid. Rushlow said that the specialist, Danyelle Wagner, will be available to help everyone in the community, not just health center patients.
