Students put money back into the community
Standish Elementary Kindergartners help build a shed with their money.
Members of Mrs. Morel (left), and Ms. Forro's (right) kindergarten class present Arenac County Habitat for Humanity's Tom McCoy (center) with a check for $110 dollars. The student raised all of the money to help with a storage shed at 333 N. Grove Street in Standish. Berthiaume's Collision transported the shed to the location, while Sequin Lumber sold it to the group for a discounted price of $500.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for putting this on the web page so fast! My kids will be thrilled tomorrow when I show them.....How do I get ahold of a copy of this photo, or can someone email me a copy? The pics I took turned out to be on a non-formatted disk(duh) and I can not make copies for my kids....Thanks again for being interested in what the young people of our community are up to!
-Ms. Forro
