Teddy Wilbur Ripperdan (Rip), 72, of Au Gres, (formerly of Lapeer) died Monday June 30, 2014.

Rip was born July 2, 1941, in Wyatt, Mo. He moved to Lapeer at a young age. He graduated from Lapeer High School. Rip was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Teamsters and a retired Sheet Metal Worker. He loved hunting, boating, fishing, and riding his Harley. Rip had a great love for country music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He instilled that love of country music to his entire family.

He is survived by his wife, Shelbie of Au Gres; daughters, Gloria Ripperdan Cedillo of Lapeer, Jessica Jacobson of Davie, Fla.; son Donald Zimmer of Olathe, Kan.; four grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Macie and Mckenzie; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements for cremation entrusted to Buresh Funeral Home, Au Gres.
