The Arenac County Historical Society's annual book sale began Saturday, March 1, with about 3,000 books spread throughout the Ye Olde Courthouse in Omer. Books could be purchased via a donation to the historical society, which was holding the sale as a fundraiser for restoration of the old courthouse. The books being sold were donated from the Midland Dow Library. The book sale is scheduled to continue March 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
