Alger Parks and Recreation board members planted two trees at the Dwight Schaff Memorial Park Saturday, June 7. Parks and rec members also made some improvements at the park, including tearing down an old counter in the pavilion and replacing it with a new one. One of the two trees was provided by a grant parks and rec received last year, and Marty and Wendie Janish of Twining donated a second tree for the park.
