Two charged in robbery at market scheduled for preliminary examination



STANDISH — Two men facing charges for larceny charges in connection with the robbery of a woman at Glen’s Market on Dec. 29, will appear in front of 81st District Court Judge Richard E. Vollbach Jr. Monday, Jan. 24 for their preliminary examinations.

Dale A. Janz Jr., 20, and Joshua W. Gibson, 21, both of Standish, appeared in court in front of Vollbach on Jan. 18. Gibson had his bond reset to $50,000, or 10 percent cash surety and is currently in jail at the Arenac County Sheriff’s Department. Janz had his bond amended to $8,000, or 10 percent cash surety and has been released on bond.

Janz and Gibson are charged with robbing the woman while she was using a mobility scooter.
