PINCONNING -- Visiting Whittemore-Prescott won the first two games by scores of 25-16, 26-24, lost the third by a score of 25-17, then won the fourth by a score of 25-23 to take a 3-1 decision over Pinconning in high school volleyball action Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Leighanna Loomis paced the winning Cardinals with eight kills, eight digs and 10 service points, including seven aces.

The Cardinals' Ali Bronson had 12 service points, 10 kills and eight digs, Chelsea Jasman had four kills and 10 service points, Britteny Winkle had six digs and eight service points, Jordan Maxwell had 26 assists and seven digs, Kayla Camp had eight digs and three assists, while Staci Ostander had six kills.

Chelsea Gruszynski led the Spartans by going a perfect 14-for-14 at the service line, and also registering 23 assists and five digs.

Pinconning's Hailey Heideman was also perfect from the service line, where she was 13-for-13. She also had two aces and 11 digs. The Spartans Ashley Hribek had four aces and four digs, Cassidy Vieau had four blocks and six digs, Emme Duranczyk had 15 digs and two blocks, Chelsea Adcock had two aces and 13 digs, Kelsey Beck had 13 digs, Sarah Lijewski had 10 digs, while Rebecca Bills had four blocks.
