What we're reading: jobless rate drops, Levin retiring, and Korea


Here's what we're reading on March 8:

- NBC News has a piece out about the U.S. jobless rate dropping to 7.7 percent, the lowest it has been since December of 2008.

- The Detroit Free Press reports on the number of people who could potentially compete for retiring Senator Carl Levin's seat. Levin has stated he will not run for another term in 2014.

- Finally, Al-Jazeera has an article up about the North Korean government declaring it is pulling out of the hotline and nonaggression pacts it has signed with the South Koean government amid expected U.N. sanctions.
