- Analysts believe truck sales will increase in 2013 due to a recovering housing market. GM, Ford and Chrysler have been rolling out new models of the pickup trucks at the Detroit Auto Show to attract buyers.

- The Newtown, Conn., community is debating the future of Sandy Hook Elementary, where 26 people, mostly children, were killed by a gunman Dec. 14. Some say the school should reopen, while others say they do not want to send their children back to the school.
