About 900 customers remain without electricity

ARENAC COUNTY — After high winds overnight Dec. 4-5 knocked out power to more than 3,000 Consumers Energy customers in the county, as of Wednesday morning at 9 a.m., around 900 were still without electricity, per the Consumers outage map.

The map showed the largest lingering outage was a large one affecting customers in Clayton Township and the northern portion of Deep River Township. According to the map, there were 357 customers there without power, and it was expected to be restored at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6.

An outage in Au Gres Township’s Point Au Gres area showed 185 without power Wednesday morning, with expected restoration at 8 p.m., and 71 customers located in Deep River Township around the Grove Road and Sterling Road junction were also left without electricity. Restoration time was expected to be at 11 p.m. on Dec. 6, according to the outage map.

Several other smaller outages were also spread out throughout the county.
