Diane Carol Hahn, 71, of Turner passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Covenant Cooper hospital in Saginaw following a short illness.

Diane was born Dec. 23, 1947, in Bay City at Bay City General Hospital, to the late Albert and Julia (DeVaere) DeSimpelaere. She graduated from Unionville Community High School in 1966. She married Francis Leo Hahn Sept. 2, 1967, in Unionville. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2003. Diane enjoyed shopping and road trips, but also enjoyed her time at home gardening, reading, being on Facebook, playing sudoku and watching favorite TV shows like “The Price Is Right,” “American Idol,” “The Voice,” “Survivor” and cooking shows.

Diane is survived by her children, Tina (Tim Cain) Hahn, Renee Hahn, Steven Hahn, Julie (John) Cooley and Matthew Hahn; grandchildren, Camryn Hahn and Christian Hahn; brother, Gerald DeSimpelaere Sr.; sisters-in-law, Debra DeSimpelaere and Kathleen Lian; nieces and nephews, Carrie Schutte, Scott Schutte and Troy Schutte, Lisa (Jacob) Legue, Gerald DeSimpelaere Jr. and Edward DeSimpelaere; cousins, Judy Lucynski, Edward Hellebuyck and Rosemary (Herb) Stedry; as well as those who adopted her and lovingly called her “Mom” or “Grandma,” Brandy, Anthony, Evelyn and Israel “Izzy”; special friend, Wilhelmina; her fur baby, Mya, and her fishies; and many, many others who knew and loved her and called her friend.

In addition to her parents and husband, Diane was preceded in death by her in-laws, Mathias and Marie Hahn; her sister, Dolores Gaeth; brothers-in-law, Edward Gaeth and Teck Lian; nephew, Lyle Gaeth; and all of her aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Diane C. Hahn will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel. Cremation will follow the funeral service. The family will greet family and friends from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of service at 2 p.m.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made to the funeral home to help defer costs.
