Elaine Mogg, 91, of Standish passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at St. Mary’s Long-term Care following a lingering illness.
She was born in Arenac County on Aug. 17, 1925, to the late Edward and Alice (Brown) Pagnier. She married Willard Mogg in 1944, and he preceded her in death in September 1975. She was a member of the Resurrection of the Lord Church, Michigan State Home Extension, Farm Bureau and Melita Crocheting Club; worked for several years at the Bakery at Skidway Lake; and served as trustee for Clayton Township.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura and Duane Kitson; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a brother, Arthur Pagnier.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Robert Mogg; and two brothers, Harold and Edward Pagnier.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 10, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. David Parsch presiding with burial in Clayton Township Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of Mass. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Association.
