Keith Ivan Rivers Jr., 62, of Sterling passed away peacefully at his home under the loving care of his family Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Keith was born Sept. 13, 1956, in Saginaw to Keith and Bessie (Hickmott) Rivers Sr. He was an employee of Outdoor Adventure Rifle River Resort in Sterling for 16 years. He was a hard worker who truly enjoyed his job and the friends he worked with. In his spare time, you could find Keith spending time fishing, woodworking and attending the races at the Whittemore Speedway. Above all, Keith was a devout family man who absolutely cherished the priceless time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Keith is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Rivers, whom he married Sept. 24, 1976, in Standish. He is also survived by his three children, Tom Rivers of Sterling, Jennifer Rivers of Prescott and Keith (Brittney) Rivers III of Prescott; four grandchildren, Anthony, Brianna, Dominick and Aaleyah “Little Peeps”; his faithful dog, Toby; two brothers and three sisters, Linda (Mark) Patrick of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Pamela Payne of West Mansfield, Ohio, Marie Rivers of Belle Center, Ohio, Robert Rivers of Belle Center, Ohio, and Jeffery Rivers of Belle Center, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Thomas John McConnell; brother-in-law, Kenny Payne; and a nephew, Jeremy Rivers.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will celebrate his life through a memorial service Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at the Outdoor Adventure Rifle River Resort in Sterling. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
