Margaret V. Stokoszynski

Died Dec. 29, 2017


Margaret Vivian Stokoszynski, 87, of Standish passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital.

She was born to the late Willis Henry and Lena Theresa (Honson) Devault on July 7, 1930, in Mason Township, Twining. Margaret was a beautician and owned and operated Mar-Glo Beauty Salon in Standish for 25 years. She was passionate about fishing with her husband Andy, and special fishing buddy Donnie Stokoszynski. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Craig) Walker; son, Willis Albert (Sue) Stokoszynski; grandchildren, Charles and Debbie Walker, Brian and Laura Walker, Brady and Christine Walker, Dennis and Kelly Walker, Douglas and Karissa Walker and Autum and Jamie Jasman; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (Rick) Sharp; brothers-in-law, Florian (Irene) Stokoszynski and Stanley (Joyce) Stokoszynski; sisters-in-law, Edna Stokoszynski and Joann Yenna; a very special brother-in-law, Richard Stokoszynski; and longtime best friends, Wilma and Eugene Bukowski.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Andrew Eugene; her brothers and sisters; a grandson, Andrew Jacob Stokoszynski; and a great-grandson, Gabriel James Jasman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Standish, with the Rev. Father David Parsch officiating. She lay in state at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. The family will greet family and friends from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations for in vitro fertilization for Katelynn and Michael Hergott or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
