Patricia R. Bellows, 75, of Millington, formerly of Omer, passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at University of Michigan hospital with her loved ones by her side.

Pat was born Oct. 23, 1941, to the late Rudolph and Pauline (Lord) Blata in Au Gres. She graduated from Arenac Eastern High School in 1959. Pat was an amazing cook and loved to prepare huge meals, including sauerkraut and homemade maple syrup. She was an amazing gardener, homemaker, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved watching the Detroit Tigers and always had an opinion on what they should or shouldn’t be doing to be a better team. One of her favorite holidays was the Fourth of July with all the fireworks and the food she would prepare for it. A lover of animals, Pat always supported the humane society.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Jay H. Bellows; and her three sons, Brian (Kathy) Bellows, Albert Bellows and Jace Bellows. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Janice (Jon) Bartlett, Patricia (Jo) Hugo, Rebecca (Brian) Datzko, Frankie Moat, Alexis Bellows, Jayden Bellows and Alicia Bellows; eight great-grandchildren, Allen Hugo, Andrew Savino, Libby and Cassie Bartlett, Conner Gorte and Mason, Chase and Morgan Datzko; and one brother, Joseph Blata.

Pat was preceded in death by her daughters, Lisa Hugo and Tracy Bellows; her parents, Pauline and Rudy Blata; and her brothers, Luke and Dave Blata.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church with the Rev. Father David Parsch officiating and interment in Cedar Valley Cemetery. Family will greet family and friends Monday, Aug. 7, from 3-8 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel. Patricia will lie in state at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of Mass at 10 a.m.
